Becky combines 20 years of real estate experience with a national award-winning journalism career that spanned three decades. Her knowledge of the real estate industry, coupled with her experience with video, communication, marketing and negotiation give her clients the upper hand in any transaction. Her investigative reporting background gives her a unique skill in market research and analysis, a big plus for anyone buying or selling.
Becky is passionate about East Dallas. She and her husband Gerald, a Dallas attorney, have lived in Lakewood and Forest Hills for more than 20 years, where they invest in rental property. They've been buyers or sellers in 20 transactions involving condos, townhouses, single family homes and duplexes. She also brings a wealth of knowledge about schools to clients—having six children who attended twelve different public and private schools, including; St. Marks School of Texas, Episcopal School of Dallas, Woodrow Wilson, Ursuline Academy, Jesuit Prep and St. John's Episcopal School.
Becky attended Kansas State University on a full scholarship. She holds a Master's of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. Becky was honored with 20 Emmy Awards during her television career. Her investigations into the real estate and mortgage industry also lead to positive changes in the loan servicing laws in Texas. In 2015, the Texas Legislature honored her with a proclamation and declaration for her "exceptional achievement."
Becky is a parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas Church where she teaches Sunday School to preschoolers and is active in Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP). She gives motivational speeches, writes freelance and works closely with Plano-based Orphan Outreach, a nonprofit group that organizes mission trips around the world. She is also an active volunteer in Hope Supply Company, another nonprofit working directly with homeless kids in the Metroplex.
